Applications::
1. Additive for steel and non-ferrous alloys. FeCr alloys typically contain 0.5% to 4% yttrium oxide nanoparticles, which enhance the oxidation resistance and ductility of these stainless steels; Adding an appropriate amount of rare earth mixture rich in yttrium oxide nanoparticles to MB26 alloy significantly improves the overall performance of the alloy, allowing it to replace some medium-strength aluminum alloys in load-bearing components of aircraft; Adding a small amount of yttrium oxide rare earth to Al-Zr alloy increases the conductivity of the alloy; This alloy has been adopted by most domestic wire factories; Adding yttrium oxide nanoparticles to copper alloys improves conductivity and mechanical strength.
2. Silicon nitride ceramic material containing 6% yttrium oxide nanoparticles and 2% aluminum can be used to develop engine components.
3. Using a 400-watt neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet laser beam for machining large components such as drilling, cutting, and welding.
4. The electron microscope fluorescent screen composed of Y-Al garnet single crystal wafers has high fluorescence brightness, low absorption of scattered light, and good resistance to high temperature and mechanical wear.
5. High yttrium oxide structural alloy containing up to 90% yttrium oxide nanoparticles can be used in aviation and other applications requiring low density and high melting point.
6. High yttrium oxide high-temperature proton conduction material containing up to 90% yttrium oxide nanoparticles can be used in the production of fuel cells, electrolytic cells, and gas sensors requiring high hydrogen solubility.
In addition, yttrium oxide nanoparticles are also used in high-temperature resistant coating materials, diluents for nuclear reactor fuels, additives for permanent magnet materials, and as getters in the electronics industry.
